Dr. Joseph Schwallie is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He has been in private practice for approximately 30 years and has provided quality eyecare in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan since 1998. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association. His interests include specialty contact lens fitting, dry eye disease, myopia control, and ocular disease treatment and management. He is committed to continually learning new techniques and updating his skills in order to remain a leader in his field.
On a personal side, Dr. Schwallie feels blessed to be married for over 25 years to his beautiful wife Cindy. They have four adult children that are out of the house…but still on the payroll. While he is now a spectator for more sports than he actually plays, he does enjoy attempting to return to his glory years in recreational volleyball and pickleball. His other passions include reading, food, puzzles and bible study. As an active member of his church, he leads weekly study groups for men and is a member of the Elder Leadership Team. He also enjoys volunteering and supporting various organizations including McCord Road Church, The Super Saturday Dance for Special Needs Individuals, YES FM Christian Radio, The InfantSee Program, Focus on the Family, and several local schools and churches.
Kimberly Carone is the office manager at Oracle Vision Care. She graduated from Davis College in 1997, with honors, where she studied medical coding/business.
She began working with Dr. Schwallie in October of 1999. She is also the managed care coordinator, and enjoys the time she spends helping our patients.
She has a wonderful son and daughter-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter. Her interests are crafts, reading, being outdoors, shopping and spending time with her family.
Amanda Gineman is a class of 1999, local to Holland, OH. She came into the optical field after obtaining her Ophthalmic Assistant certificate from Monroe Community College in 2008. She became an Ohio Licensed Dispensing Optician in 2010. After a two year apprenticeship, and completion of the American Board of Opticianry exam. She came to our practice in July 2013.
Amanda and her husband since 2001, chose to make a home in Swanton, Oh. They became parents to a sweet boy in 2012. While Amanda's husband and son are her pride and joy, she has many hobbies. Amanda enjoys off-roading, travel, sewing, photography, gardening and crafting to name a few!
Staying open minded to fashion trends, and up to date on the latest lens technologies in an ever changing world; is what helps Amanda stay committed to guiding patients in selecting the best visual solutions to meet their individual needs.
Jennifer Hoelscher started working for Dr Schwallie in 2010. She left in 2015 and moved to Texas. Recently she returned to the area and Dr Schwallie and the amazing work staff. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her 2 granddaughters, doing anything outside and working for the patients of Dr Schwallie.
Sherrie Jacquot brings 15 years optical experience to Oracle Vision Care. She joined Dr. Schwallie's practice in May 2015. Having a background in art and design, one of her favorite aspects of the work we do is helping patients select an eyeglass frame that flatters.
Sherrie is from Holland, having graduated from Springfield High School. She is married and lives in the Southwyck area. She enjoys gardening and loves to travel.
Northern Michigan is a favorite nearby destination, where she might be found with Toledo Ski Club friends in January, giving downhill skiing another try, or in July canoeing the Jordan river.
Lindsey Randolph started with Oracle Vision Care in 2015. She joins the practice with many years experience in the health care field. She graduated from Professional Skills Institute in 2010, while remaining on the Deans list throughout her studies.
Lindsey’s greatest blessing is her son Tyler. He keeps her active and entertained. When not at work Lindsey enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She loves her Oracle Vision Care family and is excited to see what the future brings.
Brandy came to work with Oracle Vision Care in April of 2019. She comes to us from many years of experience. She has three beautiful children, that are her pride and joy. Brandy enjoys walks, picnics, playing softball, and movie nights with her kids. One of her favorite aspects of the work she does is picking out glasses and seeing the joy it brings to patients at pick up. She loves her job with the Oracle Vision Care family, and can not wait to see what the future holds.
